Summer/Fall at Turner Mill

The Inn at Turner Mill has the perfect location for enjoying all that the mountains of Vermont have to offer.  Secluded, on 9 wooded acres and bordered by Notch Brook, we offer the setting of yesteryear.

Hiking, mountain biking and trail running are our specialties.  With direct access to miles of single and double track trails, you can ride or run right from the Inn.  Mountain biking and hiking maps are available as well as information on canoeing, fishing, the best berry picking or maybe a pretty spot for a picnic.

On those hot days, lace up an old pair of sneakers and hike up the Ranch Brook or Notch Brook, cooling yourself in the natural ponds as you go.  Stroll our woods out to the old mill site on Notch Brook, sunbathe on the rocks and refresh yourself in the deep, emerald green swimming hole.

Before evening, take a nap in the hammock down by the river or relax by the pool with a good book.

Stowe's Summer Event Schedule offers a wide variety of fare-weather activities, from the Flower Show to the Balloon Festival, Craft Fair and Antique Car Show.  Also enjoy tennis, golf, horseback riding, inline skating or bike riding on the 5.5 mile paved recreation path.  Music in the meadow on Sunday evenings at the Trapp Concert Meadow or one of the ongoing performances by the Stowe Theater Guild will top off any full day.

Fall in Stowe is an explosion of color and tradition.  The rolling hills pose a rich background of vibrant color for Stowe's old barns, farms, and covered bridges along with picture perfect churches and steeples.
